Links and local InformationCome,
take a look and play on our piece of paradise.
Wynyard Town,
our town, offers a great range of accommodation. From luxurious apartments to
self contained holiday units and well appointed Caravan Parks as well as a great
range of the ever popular bed and breakfast style accommodation. Wynyard accommodates
the Burnie/Wynyard Airport and this is only 2 kilometers from the first tee.
The Airport is also the gateway to the North West region of Tasmania. Up to four
flights per day may be had between Melbourne and Wynyard flying with the ever
popular ‘REX’ (Regional Airlines of Australia.) So, if you should happen to
live in Melbourne, a game of golf on …. “The Best Little Links Course in Australia”
...is only one hour away! Just imagine!..No hanging around and waiting to
tee off, not a soul behind you pushing you or your group and as a bonus you can
breathe in all the fresh air you like, every step of your way to the best score
you ever had. After the game, relax with a cool drink in the club’s bar and
share a joke with the locals before boarding your aircraft again to safely take
you home again whilst you are planning and dreaming about your next trip to Wynyard,
the golfers paradise within your reach. First,
how to find the Wynyard Golf Club:The
Golf Course is located 2.5 km, 2 minutes driving time from the main street and
shopping centre of the town. Follow Saunders Street heading north west between
the Wynyard Hotel and the Catholic Church for 1.5km and just
over the Inglis river bridge turn right. Keep going straight ahead for
about 1 km and you will find yourself at the dead end of that road in the car
park of the Wynyard Golf Club. Or,
take a look at the Google Map ! View
